Research:
This is my second project and I want to make something with Postmodern type of movement. I think postmodernism is really interesting because you can do what ever you want. Not exactly 'what ever you want' but more like coming up with some new idea which is different. Postmodernism was start in the early 70's to 80's, and it's not a style. It's more like a way to think. Why it's a way to think? because it's not just using all design elements such as line, typography, shapes, images, colour, pattern, space, etc, it's also influenced by history, culture, gender,etc. Most of the Postmodern designer on that era used signs or images which taken from a lot of things which is happened around them. This movement have no rules, no specific esthetic,no line dividing it, new or old, good or bad, it become so blur and no definition. But here, intuition is very valuable. For me postmodernism is pretty challenging. The Designer is dare to make something different base from all style of movement which is exist, and combine it with their intuition to come up with something new, something really original and different. Here people can really see the 'very own style' from the designers.
There is a list of some Designers during this era who enggaged this movements and made some unbelievable postmodernism work and become really famous.

But from all of them, I really like April Greiman, David Carson, Edward Fella,Gert Dumbar, and Wolfgang Weingart.
In my opinion they make a kinky design but spectacular. Greiman make the kinkiest design I think, she is genius. She like puting a lot of layers and using a lot different colour (mostly bright colour). Some of it looks like a lot of things going on and it does really eye catching. She made a kinky looks design and thats why people will attracted to check what is it, so i think it might be her way to get people's attention . Carson like to play with layers, almost same with april but carson use different kind of colour. he don't use strong colour as much as april and most of his layer is kind of transparent or black and white or have pallete effect.In my opinion he like to play in one type of colopur, for example playing in warm colour or cold colour, which april like to mix it. Edward Fella and Weingart more playing with the word style. Ed Fella like to use hand writing type and playing with the colours. I like Ed Fella's design especially the one which he made the word with rainbow colour, I think it's so good. A little bit different from fella, Weingart like to putting his word in the top of eachother and make a weird shape out of that.Sometimes it's kind of hard to cathch the word in one look, but I think it's genius. With this some people will see it close and detail then they will realised, but after that they will remember that work. Dumbar in my opinion like to play with a motion. He use colour to make shape from negative space and mix it with word and make some particular motion.
